Planning Your Photo Wall Art

Family photos are not just record-keepers of children’s growth, but a very important way to celebrate our families.  Displaying photos so that they can be easily enjoyed every day is a key part of that celebration.  Clients often come to their ordering appointment unsure of how to display the photos from our session.  The good news is that I’m here to help.

I like you to think of it not just as an ordering appointment but an inspiration session.  Once we’ve identified your favourite photos from your proof gallery, I help you sort out which ones will be printed, at what sizes, and in what formats (e.g. a gallery wrapped canvas, traditional framed print, an acrylic floatmount…)  How do I do that? By building mock-ups of how the products will look hanging on the actual wall in your home.

A lot of people struggle with determining the right size for the wall space that they have, especially if there’s nothing currently on that wall.  That’s where my design assistance comes in. We take a photo of your wall and load it to my wall art software, calibrate it in seconds, and then together we can play around with layouts and framing options so that when you finalize your product order you can be completely confident that it is going to look fantastic hanging on the wall in real life.

Step 1 - We start with a photo of the wall where your artwork will hang.

Step 2 & 3 - We select the images and the product type and size.

Step 4 - We're Done!
