First Communion Photos
Like so many other special events, First Communion services and celebrations were upended by the pandemic. After a four month delay, Emma was finally able to make her First Communion and part of the celebration included a family portrait session to mark the milestone.
I met up with the Peressutti family in an Oakville park with the objective of creating both family photos and portraits of the special girl that day. Earlier in the week it had been swelteringly hot and humid, far from ideal for dressed up family photos. Thankfully, this day the temps had dropped a bit. Even so, we still kept to the shade so that everyone could try and keep their cool a bit!
Emma was really getting a kick out of her flouncy “princess” dress, so we played that up in some of her photos with plenty of swishing and swirling (which prompted lots of giggles too!)
Even though most of the photos were on the more formal side since everyone was dressed up for the occasion, we did still sneak in a bit of silliness. (As a favour to Gabe, I’m not going to post the awesome monkey face photos, which did make it into the coffee table book! )
