An upgrade to the basic Canvas Gallery Wrap
Over the last several years, many people have become familiar with gallery wrap canvases as a beautiful and contemporary way to enjoy photographic art on walls. The clean and simple presentation works wonderfully in many decor styles. What is less well known is the option to upgrade this presentation with a floating frame.
You still get the same premium quality canvas wrap features :
– The finest quality archival canvas hand-stretched on solid wood stretchers and coated with archival laminate for protection and durability.
– Front face is reinforced with a board for extra strength and to prevent warping.
– Back completely covered and ready to hang with metal brackets
The addition of the floating frame gives a contemporary upgrade to the basic gallery wrap canvas. The 1/4” wide wooden frame and 1/4” float space add a total of 1” inch to height and width of the art piece. The finished piece is 2” deep. The frame is available in black, dark brown or white finishes.

I love the extra touch of the added frame. It’s minimalist and polished. One of the reasons I often choose canvases over traditional framing in my own home is that it maximises the size of the image for the wall space available. The float frame’s small profile doesn’t add bulk but is a great finishing detail.
