I met Tammi and her kids in a quiet park in Oakville on a beautiful afternoon in October. A fall family photo session is an annual event for this family, but this was our first time working together. Her primary goal was a mix of organized and candid photos to add to her existing gallery wall. Even though the kids are older than the typical playground crowd (eleven and thirteen years old), we still had fun playing! It’s good to shake things up in between the more “posed” image set-ups. We created such a great variety that Tammi wanted to keep more photos than her walls had space for, so she selected a larger collection that I put into a coffee table book for her.
When you don’t have to compete with little kids, monkey bars and swings are great fun for the big kids too! I love when I’m at a playground with older kids and they go and play. They love it too! At these ages, kids don’t generally make time for play like this, but still get a kick out of it.
