Growing Together – Winter Family Photo Session

FAMILY HISTORY

One of the things I love most about having been in the family photography business as long as I have is being able to record the growth of families over time.  I’m fortunate to have many families come back to me year after year.  In the case of Jess and Andrew, I have literally been there since the start.  I photographed their beautiful, small wedding in Toronto in April 2015.  Their first child, Arthur was born in May 2017.  We met for a session in their apartment when he was just thirteen days old.  Needless to say, I was thrilled when Jess contacted me in December to say they wanted new family photos to include their now 6-month-old little girl.  Rather than waiting for warm weather, we decided to do an indoor session with a blend of candid “documentary” style photos mixed with some poses too.

THE SESSION

Arthur was a delightful chatterbox, that would have been content to play cars and read books ALL day!  I fell in love with sweet little Alice and those big blue eyes, such a happy little thing.

As they’d done before, Jess and Andrew chose a few images to frame to hang on the wall and a larger collection for a coffee table book.  With kids this cute it’s hard to narrow down the choices!

I can hardly wait until the next time we work together.
