For Kate and her family, the easing of lockdown restrictions to an expanded social bubble of ten people came at an ideal time to mark Father’s Day and her niece’s Grade 8 graduation. They planned an afternoon of hanging out in the sunny backyard and a lobster dinner to celebrate. Kate asked me to come to her home and photograph the family in a combination of posed and candid pictures.
From the minute I arrived I could tell that this was a family that values spending time together and had missed seeing each other during the COVID lockdown. The cousins loved goofing around together and came up with all kinds of silliness for me to shoot. I loved that Pat (aka Grandma) was just as much game to clown around as the kids!
