Finding Connection
My family photo experience was recommended to Sayeh by mutual friends. Her kids are at the same school where my three started. This gave me a great point of connection with the kids – catching up on all of our favourite teachers and happenings at school. For ten years, that school was the centre of my family’s world and it holds a special place in my heart.
Combining locations
The family’s home is right next to a small park. So, we decided to base our photo session here, using the backyard, front steps, sidewalks and greenspace to create a range of images. Not only does this create variety in their artwork, but also serves a “place in time” reminder of their home and neighbourhood.
From her wide-ranging proof collection, Sayeh chose several photos to add to an existing gallery in their home, as well as a standalone family portrait as a “showpiece” artwork to hang by itself.
